We have had horrific dealings with UDI ourselves. When returning from working in UK in 2007 , my English wife was not allowed to register back into Norway, despite half owning our house since 1979, having 4 Norwegian children together, worked and lived 22 years in Norway prior to leaving for UK as part of my career. Her crime...been out of Norway for more than two years. Full family reunion applications and fees for a three year period was needed...I could not believe it and when the anger reduced a little I contacted the EFTA surveillance organ and complained Norway in for "harassment of eu citizen" Norway had to change their laws, but it still took three years before my wife could move to Norway and also thereby lost 7.5% of her pension entitlements due to the 40 year rule. UDI is full of squarehead burocrats and I still hate Norway for this episode.
