I am signing because protecting the sacred land and the ancient heritage is amongst my highest priorities because all of the forces of modernity wish to ruin everything we have, and the ancestors are one of the last things we have left

These are pieces of ancient art, absolutely priceless & should remain where they are. It should be a UNESCO world heritage site.

These are pieces of rare global heritage. They deserve to survive another 20,000 years where they have lasted that long. There is no justification for doing this, and a quarry certainly doesn’t make the cut.

I am a Masters, archaeology student, my thesis is on rock art. These artefacts represent the heritage and identity of your ancestors. Rock art is a global feature and is of immense value in understanding the past and protecting this for generations will enable this message to be passed on. To destroy this is foolish and short sighted it can never be replaced.
