What makes me more disturbing is the only reason the police used for not letting parents is that so as not to destroy any evidence. Let us be realistic ,how can  the evidence of a child who went under the knife can be destroyed? The scar would be visible should it been inflicted on the child. Parents needed to be informed prior an examination !
